Fashion/Style: Thou Shalt Not be Frumpy!

mini-pinkboa-6-14-09Recovery isn’t half as much fun if we look like we’re caught in a time warp from the ‘70’s – or worse – the ‘80’s!   True, being bald without the benefit of eyebrows or eyelashes is a bad look for most of us – unless there is a Star Trek convention nearby.   But if your hair grows back gray and you decide to renounce hair color forever, everything changes: the colors you wear, your makeup.  Your hair may also be thinner and more fragile than it used to be, so new styling options are called for.   You are styling, aren’t you???

What about clothing?   Are we choosing items that hang on us like burlap sacks, or are we selecting separates and dresses that give us shape without being too short, too long, too revealing or skin-tight?   Where do you get your clothes and what kinds of styles do you look for?

And if you’re popping a daily aromatase inhibitor like I am, aching hips and knees may be redefining the relationship you  have with your shoes.   Those gorgeous slides in my closet that made up my pre-EBC wardrobe?   They give me foot cramps now.   Can’t a Queen get a break and find comfy shoes that don’t cost a million dollars or make her look like her grandmother?   (Okay, so many of us are grandmothers, but that doesn’t mean we have to wear our hair pulled back into a bun and churn butter – unless we like it!)

This is the spot to share your best solutions and suggestions about how to find a personal style you can live with – the look that gives you the boost you need to get back into the world and live it with class!
